As of winter quarter 2023, there is one French minor available for undergraduates to declare, the minor in French. The minor in French Language, Literature, and Culture has been renamed to simply the minor in French but the minor requirements have not changed. The minor in French Language, Sociolinguistics, and Translation has been suspended and will be eliminated, students who have declared this minor will still be able to complete their minor but should contact a Humanities Academic Services Center advisor to ensure the courses they take can be counted towards their minor.
The minor in French is open and has no minimum requirements to declare. Students can declare the minor with the advisor in their major department. Please contact the Humanities Academic Services Center (HAS) at has-center@uw.edu with any questions about the French minor or to map out the required courses.
