Transfer Credit Policy for Study Abroad Programs
French
If a student studies abroad for a full year while concurrently enrolled at the UW, they may expect to earn up to, but no more than, 20 credits towards the French Major. If a student studies abroad for a quarter/semester, they may earn up to, but no more than, 15 credits towards the French major. Up to 10 credits taken abroad may be counted toward the French minor.
Italian
If a student studies abroad for a full year while concurrently enrolled at the UW, they may expect to earn up to, but no more than, 15 credits towards the Italian Major. If a student studies for a quarter/semester in Italy, they may earn up to, but no more than, 10 credits towards the Italian major. Up to 10 credits taken abroad may be applied toward the Italian minor.
