Syllabus Description (from Canvas):

Benvenuti all'Italiano 203!

This course examines the mafia and societal developments from the 1950s to today, in order to gain a more thorough understanding of how the mafia fits into Italian politics. We watch, understand, discuss, and debate three films, each of which offers a unique perspective on the mafia.  Each film discussion runs for about three weeks.

In doing so, we review the main grammatical structures (verb tenses, subjunctives, use of adjectives etc), improve our listening skills, and refine our ability to make an argument through speaking and writing.

Full syllabus will be posted in March.
