Biography
Associate Professor Emeritus W. Victor Wortley passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Professor Wortley was born August 29, 1929. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon in 1964 and began working in Romance Languages & Literature at the UW in August 1965. His areas of interest were seventeenth-century French theatre and prose (non-fiction). He retired in June of 1992 and was named Associate Professor Emeritus at that time.
