Class of 2025

On Friday, June 13th, the Department of French & Italian Studies celebrated the achievements of the class of 2025. The event celebrated our graduating French MA students and undergraduate French majors and Italian minors who have earned their degrees from Autumn 2024 - Summer 2025. Our graduation celebration brought together students, guests, faculty, and staff to mark the culmination of their time at the UW.

The event began with a speech from Professor Beatrice Arduini, the chair of French & Italian Studies. Following the chair, Professor Richard Watts presented the two students who graduated with a Masters of French degree this academic year, Madeleine Poole and Emy Chevalier. Finally, the Language Program Director, Professor Irina Markina, read the names of the undergraduate students in both the French major and Italian minor programs. Once the ceremony was complete, graduates and their guests enjoyed a reception and mingled with their fellow graduates and French & Italian Studies faculty.

To the class of 2025: we are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished. Your journey is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see where your talents and passions will take you next. We encourage you all to stay connected with the department by subscribing to our department mailing list and submitting an alumni update for publication on our website. By updating the department about your future endeavors, your experience can inspire current and future students of French and Italian. Again, congratulations to the class of 2025!
