Earlier this week, the UW Rome Center was featured in an article published in the L'Italo Americano. The UW Rome Center, which has been operating study abroad programs for students for over four decades, has recently completed a multi-year renovation of their space in the historic Palazzo Pio. With construction complete, the Rome Center is now aiming to start a brand new study abroad program. The Scholars Abroad program, tentatively set to begin in Spring 2025, is highly customizable study abroad program aimed at older learners. In an interview with Amity Neumeister, resident director of the UW Rome Center, and Virginia Agostinelli, affiliate instructor in the Rome in Residence program, they discuss the development of this new study abroad program and how they plan to offer a variety of courses to allow people to customize their own study abroad experience.
