Submitted by Amanda Demeter on

Every year, the French Ministry of Education and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in Washington, D.C. offer approximately 1,500 teaching assistantships for American citizens and permanent residents to teach English in public schools across all regions of metropolitan France as well as in the overseas departments of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique and la Réunion.  Teaching Assistants are primarily recent university graduates; however, applications from candidates between the ages of 20 and 35 who have completed 3 years of higher education studies are also accepted. Please find more on eligibility on the TAPIF website.

The deadline to apply for TAPIF is January 15, 2023. Applications require an essay, letters of recommendation, and sometimes a standardized test to prove a B1 level in French.

A final info session will take place next Friday, December 16, 2022 at 9am Pacific (12pm EST) via Zoom.
