Student Run French & Italian Clubs Meeting In-Person!

Submitted by Amanda Demeter on

After a hiatus, the student run French and Italian Club are holding in person meetings again! All UW students are welcome to participate club meetings and activities. Students do not need to be in French or Italian courses or to have advanced language proficiency to participate. Please see the details below and join the French and Italian Clubs to meet fellow Francophiles and Italophiles and practice your language skills.

The Italian Club kicked off autumn quarter by holding an Italian style aperitivo (with non-alcoholic beverages)  to host all UW community members interested in relaunching the Italian club. They have now appointed club officers and are holding in person meetings again. The Italian Club recently gathered to attend a screening of the film Marcel! at the Seattle International Film Festival's Cinema Italian Style.

The French Club started in-person, weekly meetings in autumn quarter! The student-run club is intended for all students and UW community members who want to practice their French outside of class and participate in activities focused on French language and culture. Recent activities included a French film night, playing French board games while practicing French, and the opportunity to volunteer for a learning activity with a French class from a local high school.

Dates: Every Wednesday in Autumn quarter 2022
Time: 5:00-6:30 pm
Location: Loew 201
