Each academic year, eight faculty members and three advanced graduate students are chosen from the Humanities to participate in the Society of Scholars fellowship program through the UW's Simpson Center for the Humanities. Society of Scholars fellowship recipients meet bi-weekly in order to engage in research-related discussion. Recent Society of Scholars fellows from the Division of French & Italian Studies have included Richard Watts (2009-2010) and Geoffrey Turnovsky (2007-2008).
