Transfer Credit Policy for Study Abroad Programs

French

If a student studies abroad for a full year while concurrently enrolled at the UW, he/she may expect to earn up to, but no more than 20 credits towards the French Major.  If a student studies abroad for a quarter/semester, he/she may earn up to, but no more than 15 credits towards the French major.

Up to ten credits taken abroad may be counted toward the French minor.

Italian

If a student studies abroad for a full year while concurrently enrolled at the UW, he/she may expect to earn up to, but no more than 15 credits towards the Italian Major.

If a student studies for a quarter/semester in Italy, he/she may earn up to, but no more than 10 credits towards the Italian major.
