ITAL 101 IS OPEN TO STUDENTS WHO HAVE NEVER TAKE ITALIAN BEFORE. STUDENTS MUST ATTEND FIRST TWO DAYS OF CLASS IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN ENROLLMENT. STUDENTS WISHING TO ENROLL IN FULL SECTIONS MUST ATTEND THE FIRST 2 DAYS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR OPENINGS. FINAL EXAM ON SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH AT 0830- 1020AM.
Catalog Description:
Develops speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to a basic level of proficiency. Teaches students to communicate in Italian and understand the cultural context of the language. Methods and objectives are primarily oral-aural, and classes are taught through a task-based approach. First in a sequence of three.
