Associate Professor Louisa Mackenzie's book, The Poetry of Place: Lyric, Landscape, and Ideology in Renaissance France, published by University of Toronto Press in 2011, has received an honorable mention in the competition for the Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for French and Francophone Studies.  Her book was also nominated for the Renaissance Society of America's Phyllis Goodhart Gordon Book Prize.
